In WHO’s 2009 Global Tobacco Epidemic Report, Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) was spotlighted as an excellent model for using tobacco tax mechanisms for tobacco control. Through this structure, there has been advancement in tobacco control in Thailand in terms of sustainable funding development of ThaiHealth and a declining number of smokers.
